The Blue Fairy Book [by Andrew Lang] [1889]

Andrew Lang’s Blue Fairy Book was a beautifully produced and illustrated edition of fairy tales that has become a classic. This was followed by eleven other collections of fairy tales, collectively known as Andrew Lang’s Fairy Books. The Blue Fairy Book was magically illistrated by H.J. Ford And G.P. Jacomb Hood

The first edition consisted of 5000 copies, which sold for 6 shillings each. The book assembled a wide range of tales, from around the world including many from Celtic Mythology.
